Podcast Rocket is for you if:
You want a more efficient content development strategy that doesn’t take hours and hours out of your week
You know that podcasting can take your brand to the next level, but aren’t quite sure where to start and need a complete roadmap to get you there successfully
You already are, or are on your way to becoming an industry thought leader and need to increase your visibility
You want to create meaningful, one-to-one connections with your audience that inspire qualified leads to reach out to you first
You have a lot to say, and you need a kickass way to share your knowledge with your community.
You’ve tried all the social channels you can get your hands on, but the darn algorithms are preventing your audience from engaging with your content! Not only that, there are at least 15 other major influencers in your market that are hogging all the space!
A podcast will set your brand apart from all the noise, so that you can reach your audience directly.
More people are now listening to podcasts than ever before (thanks serial!) and we think you should be capitalizing on this marketing channel to attract more clients into your pipeline.
Hey! I’m Emily!
I’m the Founder of The Ultimate Creative, and I’ve been producing and hosting podcasts for over five years! I can honestly say that podcasting has opened up so many new opportunities for me, from growing my network to discovering new ways to reach my audience and my clients’ audiences.
I’ve been teaching people how to podcast for almost as long as I’ve been doing it myself, through in person events, one on ones, and at conferences. I’m taking everything I know about podcasting and bundling it into one mega course that will take you from podcast newbie to pro in just a few weeks!
I’ve seen for myself how much a podcast can positively impact brands, creatives and thought leaders, and I want to share the whole process with you so you can benefit just as much!
Five Reasons You Should Be Podcasting
1. Cut Through The Noise
Not sure how to break through the “noise” and become top of mind in your market? Think of it this way – everyone is on social media, but not everyone has a podcast! So why not?
2. Easy To Start
All you really need is a recording app on your phone and an internet connection to start! Even without a fancy microphone, you can still reach your audience with minimal setup and expense.
3. Amazing Return
If you commit to a consistent, long-term podcast strategy, you can increase the number of qualified leads coming your way AND use your podcast as a platform to sell your products or services! It’s a win-win!
4. Significant Audience Growth
By inviting guests on your show and being a guest on other shows, you’ll be able to increase your audience even more over time. Why not tap into existing audiences with new guests?
5. Be A Leader
We already know you’re a leader, otherwise you wouldn’t have started your own business or established your own arts projects. It’s time to tell everyone that you know what’s up, and you’re the “go-to” person in your field.
“I literally don’t need to be out there selling anymore because the podcast is doing its job.”

I know that podcasting can seem overwhelming at first, and you might be thinking…
- I simply don’t have enough time in my schedule to learn and add another piece of content to my marketing strategy
- Podcasting doesn’t seem worth it if I can’t get sponsors like the big names
- There is so much technology and gear out there, I wouldn’t know where to begin
- I’m not comfortable hearing my voice recorded, or public speaking – besides, I don’t know if people really want to hear what I have to say anyway
- Even if I did have a podcast, I wouldn’t know how to attract listeners that would turn into qualified leads or superfans
And I totally get it! There’s so much information out there that it can be daunting to take on a new medium from scratch, but I’ve been there, and I can tell you from the other side that I wish I hadn’t let my fears get in the way of my goals.
I want to give you all of the tools you need to help you create a well oiled content generating machine behind the scenes, so that your brand can absolutely SHINE!
And with the Podcast Rocket roadmap I’m going to take you from beginner to expert in just 5 weeks! All you need is the commitment to bring your A-Game and put in the work to take your podcast from an idea to a reality!

“The Ultimate Creative has been instrumental in my business growth. They enabled me to get my podcast up and off the ground within a month by walking me through what I need to do and taking all the complicated tech stuff off my plate, so that I can focus on what I do best, creating great content for my community. They are professional, efficient and oh-so smart. I have loved every second of working with The Ultimate Creative and I can’t wait to see how else we can grow our impact from here.”
Lianne Kim, Business Coach and Founder of Mamas & Co.
“I reached out to The Ultimate Creative because I wanted to start a podcast but was so overwhelmed with the information online that I honestly didn’t know where to start. Emily walked me through everything I needed to do, helped me get all of the hosting arranged with Libsyn, set up my feed, create my into/outro AND she provided encouragement every step of the way! It removed so much stress! She made it easier than I had hoped for and I can’t thank her enough for getting me recording!!”

Course Outline – Lifetime Access Begins May 25, 2020
Week 1: Podcast Purpose
We’ll walk through some fundamental marketing exercises specific to your podcast so that you’ll know exactly what your podcast is going to be about and who your podcast is for. This essential step will also help you generate a list of 52 topics that you can turn into episodes for your show! Whether your podcast is part of your marketing mix or is a new revenue stream, you will have mapped out a complete strategy for your content.
Week 2: Podcast Gear & Software
Depending on the type of show you’ll be producing, you can learn about my favourite recording gear, apps and software that will enable you to achieve a professional quality sounding podcast without having to guess at what to buy. By the end of this section you’ll know exactly what you want to buy, and how to use it properly.
Week 3: Podcast Production
Now we start recording! I will teach you how to record solo shows, shows with in-person guests, and online interviews. You’ll learn how to record your intro and outro and set it to music, then you will record and edit your first four episodes including at least one interview episode, to get ready for week four – Launch!
Week 4: Podcast Launch
Promo time! We’re going to get all of the elements ready to go for your launch, including podcast artwork, shownotes, a podcast host, a marketing strategy, AND we’ll get your feed up on all of the major apps so you can say “download this show wherever you get your podcasts” just like the pros! I’ll also give you the strategy to get your show into the Apple Podcasts New & Noteworthy section!
Week 5: A Year Of Podcasts
Phewf! After all that hard work we need to keep the momentum going! In this final week, we’ll cover your ongoing podcast strategy, how to plan out your podcast content to support your overall business goals, how to scale your podcast and how to use your podcast to attract qualified leads directly to you. I’ll give you my favourite marketing tools and apps to create engaging social posts with your podcast content that people will keep coming back to, week after week, as well as my podcast episode checklist that ensures you’re getting the most out of the time you put into producing your show.
I want to start right away, can I access the course materials now?
Podcast Rocket officially begins on May 25, 2020 and all of the materials will be available to you to get started right away! You can move through the materials at your own pace and join the weekly group check-in calls for any questions you might have related to that week’s materials.
How much time does podcasting actually take?
You can expect to spend approximately 6-8 hours per month on your show, including recording, editing, marketing materials (show notes, graphics, social posts, emails) and posting. If your episode is 30 minutes long, expect to spend approximately 1 hour editing.
Here’s how I break it down by month for a weekly show:
- 2 hours recording 4 30 min episodes
- 3-4 hours of editing
- 2 hours creating promo materials
Do I need a microphone to get started with this course?
Nope! In fact if you’re still on the fence about what to buy, we cover that in week 2 of Podcast Rocket so that you can feel 100% confident in your recording device choice!
How much does it cost to keep my podcast going?
You can expect to spend around $20 a month on hosting for your podcast. If you choose to work with a podcast editor, you can expect to spend betwen $300-$700 a month depending on the level of service you need.
Will you show me how to set up my microphone?
Yes! You’ll have a clear understanding of the best practices for recording for several types of formats to ensure your show sounds polished and professional.
Will you show me how to edit?
Absolutely! We’ll look at editing in two free softwares, Garageband (Mac) and Audacity (PC). I’ll also show you some mixing techniques that I use to enhance the overall quality of my recordings.
I have more questions!
